Goa Institute of Management (GIM) was founded in 1993, by the initiative of Fr. Romauld D’Souza. The institute is managed by a Board of Governors, chaired by Mr. R Gopalakrishnan and consists of prominent citizens, industrialists, educationists and representatives from the Government of Goa. The present Director is Mr. Peter D’Lima, an industrialist from Goa.
In the course of the last seventeen years, the Institute has gone on to achieve laurels in the field of management education and has produced some of the finest managers for corporate India.
WIZBIZ 2010 is the National Corporate Quiz organized by MECCA, the Marketing Club of Goa Institute of Management. This is a step to further our industry-institute interaction. Ten years into its existence, WIZBIZ continues its tradition of bringing the best of quizzers from diverse industry backgrounds from across India onto one platform.
The 10th edition of WIZBIZ, will be conducted in a threefold manner-
• National Online Quiz Competition (19th, 20th & 21st February) – InQUIZitive Minds
• All Goa Inter collegiate Quiz Competition (27th February) – InQUIZitive Minds
• National Corporate Quiz Competition (27th February) – WIZBIZ 2010.
The outline for the Online Quizzes is as follows-
• The online version of InQUIZitive Minds will be held on the 19th, 20th and 21st of Feb’ 10 at 10 PM daily
• The content for this quiz is created by BRAINVISTA, the Quizzing Club of Goa Institute of Management.
• The quiz will be in a Leader Board Format i.e. the points will be accumulated over three days to crown the winning team.
• The quiz will cover numerous topics to test every ounce of your quizzing brain.
• Day 1 (19th February) – Sports & Entertainment
• Day 2 (20th February) – Business & Economy
• Day 3 (21st February) – Mixed Bag.
The quiz has been designed to be intellectually stimulating, immensely thrilling, and guaranteeing that you will pull out your hair in the attempt to be crowned national quizzing champions. With the added enjoyment of guessing and googling, we invite you to be a part of this extravaganza!
Guidelines for the Quiz
Date of the quiz: 19th, 20th and 21st February 2010.
Number of questions: 15 questions per quiz.
Duration: 10pm- 11 pm (on all 3 days).
Eligibility: This quiz is open to Graduate students, Under-graduate students, School students. Corporate team participation is also allowed.
Form of participation: You will need to form teams of 2 each. Both of you will have to be from the same institute or firm. There can be as many teams from a single institute or organization. One person cannot be part of more than one team.
Marking: Each correct answer will fetch you one point each. There will be no negative marking.
Prizes : Top 3 teams of each day will get a certificate and the cumulative winner of all 3 days will get a cash prize of Rs. 3000.
In case of a tie - In case of a tie, the team with the maximum correct starred questions will be ranked higher. In case of a further tie, the entries received first will be ranked higher.
How to register: The quiz will be conducted on Dare2Compete (For those who are not members of dare2compete already, we request you to register in advance on this website.)
Where to find the questions, and submit the answers: The questions will be available on www.dare2compete.com and the answers will be available on the same website. Answers of the quiz will be put up after the quiz. The scores will be available after 24hrs of the quiz.
